Scan to PDF
Scan to PDF uses your phone camera to photograph sheets of paper, one at a time, and joins them into a PDF with one page per photo. It is for the receipt, the hand signed contract, the page of a book, the letter that arrived on paper. The photos never leave your device: the PDF is built inside the browser itself.

Allow camera access
The browser asks once. Without that permission there is no image, and the tool says so instead of going blank.
Photograph each sheet
One photo per page. You see the list of what you captured, delete the blurry one, and change the order if you need to.
Create the PDF
You get a single file with the pages in the order they are in the list.
Does this replace a flatbed scanner?
No, and it is worth being clear about it. A scanner has the sheet pressed against glass, with its own light and always at the same distance. A camera in your hand has the light of the room, the shadow of whoever is shooting, and whatever angle happens. For the receipt you need to send today it is plenty; for archiving an old document at reproduction quality, a scanner is still better.
Do the pages come out with searchable text?
No. Each page ends up as a photograph inside the PDF. You can view it, print it and send it, but you cannot search for words or copy text: that would need optical character recognition, which this tool does not do.
Does it fix the perspective if I shoot from an angle?
No. The image goes into the PDF exactly as captured, without straightening corners or cropping the sheet. Framing it well, with the phone parallel to the paper, is what makes the difference in the result.
Do I need a connection while shooting?
Only to load the page. From there on the camera, the photos and the PDF assembly all happen on your device, and no image is sent anywhere.
The tool says it cannot access the camera.
Either permission was refused, or it was never asked for. On a phone the permission is given from the address bar or the site settings; on a desktop with no camera connected there is nothing to allow, and the tool says so instead of showing a black rectangle.
It says the camera is being used by another program.
This happens on a computer when a video call, or another browser tab, already has the camera open. Close the other program or tab and press try again.
The text comes out blurry or with a shadow across it.
That is the real limit of this tool, not a malfunction. Lay the sheet on a flat surface, move out of your own shadow, and prefer window light to ceiling light directly overhead. Shooting with the phone parallel to the paper solves most cases.
There is a page limit per scan.
Yes, fifty. Every photo stays in the device memory until you create the PDF, and a phone with too many unsaved pages ends up losing the whole batch. When you reach the limit, create the PDF and start another scan.
I left the tool and the camera light went out.
That is the correct and deliberate behaviour. The camera is switched off as soon as you close the tool, switch tools or leave the page.
Questions about scanning to PDF.
Do I need an account to scan?
Yes. The account (magic link, no password) is needed for the subscription. This tool is part of the Premium subscription, EUR 1.99 a month, which removes the limits on every tool and adds OCR. Sign PDF opens on the free plan, with one signature a day.
Does it work on a computer or only on a phone?
It works on both, as long as there is a camera. It was designed for the phone, which is what you have in your hand to photograph a sheet on the table.
Can I use the front camera?
You can, there is a button to switch. The rear one is the default because it is the one pointing at the paper and the one with the better sensor.
Are my photos kept on your servers?
No. Since nothing is sent, nothing is kept outside your browser.
